Saturday Night Live used music from my album "American Landscapes" as the soundtrack for their entire 'Beppo' skit featuring John Mulaney.

Honestly, I didn’t see that one coming! This music was originally composed for U.S. political projects, documentaries, and nature-themed productions.

A huge thank you to my friends at London-based 2nd Foundation Music and their reps worldwide for your incredible dedication in getting my work featured in so many amazing productions!"

🔥 NEW ALBUM RELEASE — “High Steaks” 🔥

Really excited to finally share a new album I’ve been working on with the fantastic team at 2nd Foundation Music in London.

This one is… a little different.

Think high-energy orchestral meets culinary chaos — featuring the incredible Tippetts String Quartet, live electric bass, live drums, modern synths… and a whole arsenal of kitchen utensils as percussion. Yes, seriously. Whisks, pans, knives, and whatever else we could turn into rhythm.

The result is a collection of bold, playful tracks built specifically for the world of food television — the kind of music that would feel right at home on shows like The Great British Bake Off, Top Chef, MasterChef, or Iron Chef.

Hope you enjoy the ride — and maybe don’t look at your kitchen utensils the same way again. 🍳🥁🎻

✨Hope in Sadness ✨

I’m often asked, “What’s your favorite project or piece of music?”

My answer is usually the same: “Whatever is right in front of me.” And I mean that. Growing up in Detroit gave me a deep love for so many different musical styles—it’s impossible to choose just one.

But every now and then, I write something simply for myself, never expecting it to go beyond my own heart… or maybe my mom and dad’s ears. 😊

“Hope in Sadness” is one of those pieces. Produced and mixed beautifully by 2nd Foundation Music and performed by the Tippets Quartet (with Daryl Griffith on piano), it has unexpectedly found a life far beyond what I imagined—featured on more than 50 TV shows around the world. I never saw that coming.

As the title suggests, my goal was to capture the feeling that even in sorrow, there is always room for hope.

Crown of Empires

Robert Allen Elliott

Epic orchestral themes evoking grandeur and power; Crown Of Empires blends noble brass, choir, sweeping strings and ceremonial percussion to frame stories of lineage, governance and cultural legacy - ideal for historical drama and documentaries, monarchy features, state occasions and heritage storytelling.

🎺 New Music Commission for Network broadcasts – “Larger Than Life” 🎺

Thrilled to share that I’ve been commissioned by Vanacore Music (Los Angeles) to write five epic orchestral tracks for use across sports and athletic events — from the Olympics to football, soccer, baseball, basketball, and beyond.

I’ve had the joy of writing for Vanacore for over a decade now — for shows like Survivor, Top Chef, The UnXplained (with William Shatner), American Idol, Yes Chef, American Ninja Warrior, This Is Mark Rober, Crime Scene Kitchen, and The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Their direction this time?

“Heroic. Larger than life. Fanfare energy with moments to breathe in the middle section… then build it to the rafters.”

So I pulled out all the stops — big orchestra, 160 piece choir, and modern energy. (Though next time, I might drive 20 minutes and have the Tabernacle Choir record it for real — I wrote these as if they were already squeezed into my studio 😄.)
